Amey has significantly expanded its footprint in the Irish market after being awarded a primary place on Transport Infrastructure Ireland's (TII) Commercial, Claims Advisor, and Professional Services framework.
This four-year agreement positions Amey as the Lot 1 supplier, tasking the firm with the delivery of critical specialist services across the country's transport and active travel networks.
As the lead for Lot 1, Amey will provide a comprehensive range of commercial and technical expertise to both TII and Ireland's 31 local authorities. The scope of work includes procurement assurance, claims advisory, dispute resolution, and quantity surveying, alongside wider commercial, project, and risk management. These services are set to be deployed across a diverse portfolio of national roads, light rail systems, and greenway initiatives, directly supporting the objectives outlined in TII's Climate Action Roadmap.
A key technical feature of Amey's delivery model is a digital-led, insight-driven approach. The consultancy will utilise advanced project planning and data analytics tools to enhance decision-making and transparency across complex infrastructure programmes. By identifying potential risks and commercial issues at an earlier stage, the firm aims to drive greater efficiency and cost-certainty for public sector clients.
Colin Wood, Managing Director for Amey, highlighted the strategic importance of the appointment: "We are pleased to announce our appointment to the Transport Infrastructure Ireland Commercial, Claims Advisor and Professional Services framework. This unlocks the full breadth of our expertise and capabilities across multiple sectors, helping to support in the creation of more connected communities, low-carbon transport, and resilient infrastructure more generally across Ireland. We look forward to continuing this strong partnership with the Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Irish local authorities and contributing to the local economy."
The framework also permits Amey to bid for work with the Department of Transport and major local bodies such as Dublin City Council, Cork County Council, and Galway City Council. To facilitate this, Amey intends to embed specialist roles within client offices, promoting knowledge transfer and more agile, co-located team environments.
This latest success follows the recent opening of Amey's first Dublin office and its first major contract award with Roscommon County Council. The appointment reinforces the company's long-term investment strategy in the region as it seeks to support Ireland's transition toward more sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
