Breedon Group plc, a leading vertically-integrated construction materials firm operating across Great Britain, Ireland, and the United States, has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Booth Precast Products Limited ("Booth").
The move follows formal approval from the Competition Authority, marking a significant expansion of Breedon's footprint in Ireland.
Based in County Laois, Booth has been a prominent fixture in the Irish construction sector for over 25 years. The company has built a robust reputation for sustainability and quality, operating as a leading regional quarrying and concrete business.
The acquisition is a key component of Breedon's broader growth strategy within the Irish market. By incorporating Booth's operations, Breedon secures vital mineral reserves positioned to supply the expanding Dublin market. Furthermore, the addition of Booth's concrete facilities enhances Breedon's vertical integration, allowing for a more comprehensive service offering to its customers.
As part of the transition, Breedon has welcomed 32 employees from Booth into the Group.
Declan Carr, CEO of Breedon Ireland, said: "We are delighted to welcome Booth and our new colleagues to Breedon. Booth is a well-established and highly regarded business and a strong track record of excellence supplying Irish construction companies. The team's expertise and extensive customer relationships will further strengthen our operations in the country.
"This acquisition delivers on our strategy in Ireland, providing Breedon with valuable source of aggregates to supply the growing Dublin market and expanding our concrete business, as well as our ability to serve customers with a broad, vertically-integrated platform."
