Essential works are set to begin in the coming days in Ard an Rátha, where Uisce Éireann will replace 175 metres of ageing water mains in Ard Chonaill as part of its National Leakage Reduction Programme.
The upgrade is designed to improve the reliability of the local water supply and curb water loss.
The project includes installing new household and business service connections to cut the risk of bursts, support more consistent water pressure and minimise supply disruptions.
Uisce Éireann Programme Manager, Patricia Lowry, said: "Uisce Éireann is committed to investing in local water infrastructure to support communities and safeguard supplies for the future. These works in Ard Chonaill will build a more resilient network. Our crews will work diligently to complete the project as quickly as possible, and we thank the community for their patience and co operation as these essential works progress."
Traffic management will be in place for the safety of crews and road users, with local and emergency access maintained at all times.
Some short-term water outages may be necessary, and customers will receive a minimum of 48 hours' notice before any planned interruption.
Farrans Construction will deliver the works on behalf of Uisce Éireann, with completion expected in early summer.
