Two new residential developments in east Belfast and a major city centre office project have been approved by Belfast City Council's Planning Committee.
The committee granted planning permission for 35 social housing units to be built across two blocks on land at 45 Park Avenue, on the site of the former Mount Masonic Hall.
A second housing development was also approved for the former Cabin Hill site on the Upper Newtownards Road. The project will deliver 53 residential units, including 43 houses and 10 apartments.
Members also approved plans to allow short-term let accommodation during July and August at student accommodation blocks in York Street and Bradbury Place.
Elsewhere, permission was granted for a temporary mobile classroom complex at Harberton North Special School on Fortwilliam Park in north Belfast. The classrooms will allow work to proceed on the future refurbishment and extension of the school.
In the city centre, councillors approved plans for a new eight-storey Grade A office building on a car park site to the east of Lanyon Place station. The development will include seven floors of office accommodation along with ground floor retail and business units.
The committee also approved an application to convert a vacant warehouse, the former Decco building in Redcar Street, into an indoor padel court facility with a café, changing rooms and a gym.
Councillor Ryan Murphy, Chair of Belfast City Council's Planning Committee, said: "We have had a range of major and local planning applications through Planning Committee this month which will benefit our residents through the provision of much needed accommodation in our city.
"It is also good news for our school community and parents with the approval for the temporary mobile classroom complex at Harberton North Special School on Fortwilliam Park, to facilitate the future refurbishment of the school, and, for office workers and businesses with the approval of the new grade A office block at Mays Meadow."
