Work has officially begun on a new flagship office for Henry Brothers at its Magherafelt headquarters.
This significant development represents a major investment in the company's future and reinforces its enduring connection to the Mid Ulster area.
To mark the occasion, the ground was broken by the founder of Henry Brothers, Jim Henry, alongside the company's longest-serving staff members, George Scott and Ronnie Wilson. The new expansion is designed to provide a contemporary workspace featuring sustainable design and upgraded facilities, aimed at enhancing the environment for employees and facilitating the firm's ongoing growth.
The commencement of the build coincides with Henry Brothers celebrating its 50th anniversary, a milestone that highlights five decades of excellence and innovation within the industry. This purpose-built facility is intended to bolster the company's core values of community, sustainability, and quality, ensuring the business is prepared for future requirements while maintaining its local roots.
David Henry, CEO of Henry Group, said: "The development of this flagship office represents more than bricks and mortar; it embodies our vision for the future of Henry Brothers.
"Every element of the design has been carefully considered to create a workplace that fosters employee collaboration and wellbeing.
"From sustainable building systems to modern, flexible workspaces, this facility reflects our responsibility to the environment, our people, and the communities we serve.
"We look forward to continuing delivering high-quality projects, nurturing relationships, and contributing to the prosperity of the Mid Ulster area."
Construction of the new Magherafelt office is scheduled for completion by January 2027. During the build process, operations will continue as usual at the existing headquarters.
Jody Wilkinson, Managing Director for Northern Ireland and Scotland, said:
"Breaking ground on our new state-of-the-art Magherafelt office is a significant milestone for Henry Brothers.
"It reflects our ongoing pursuit of quality, growth, and providing our teams with the best possible environment to deliver excellence.
"We're investing locally and creating a space that will support our development for many years to come, reinforcing our commitment to skills advancement, industry progress, and long-term economic prosperity across the region."
Currently, Henry Brothers is engaged in several high-profile projects throughout Northern Ireland. These include the Queen's Momentum One Zero project and the Queen's-led Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Centre. This follows the recent handover of a £13.5m Driver and Vehicle Test Centre located in Mallusk.
