Uisce Éireann is progressing with upgrades to the water network in the Ardloman area to cut leakage and improve reliability for local homes and businesses.
More than 7.6km of ageing mains has already been replaced, with a further 300m to be installed. To connect the new pipes, a planned interruption to supply is scheduled for Thursday, 12 March, from 8am to 4pm. The works will affect customers in Ardloman and nearby communities, including Mount Bruis, Glenbane, Emly, Kilross, Ballynahow Cross, Lattin, Cullen, Monard, Shronell, Breansha, Kyleenagallive Lattin, Roseboro, Deerpark, Limerick Junction and surrounding areas.
Uisce Éireann's Dave Murphy said: "We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works, and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and co-operation.
"Following the completion of the works, it can take two to three hours for normal water supply to return to customers as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on higher ground or at the end of the network."
