PEG Completes Acquisition Of Solar PV Firm Natural Generation

Northern Ireland solar energy specialist Premier Electrical Group has completed the acquisition of Natural Generation, a solar energy solutions provider in England, marking a major step in its expansion strategy.

Based in Ballynahinch, Premier Electrical Group provides solar and electrical services across Northern Ireland for homes and businesses. It specialises in the design, supply and installation of solar PV systems, battery storage, EV chargers and more across the domestic, commercial and agricultural sectors.

Natural Generation, headquartered in Perranporth, supports households and businesses in Cornwall, Devon and the wider South West in adopting renewable energy through solar panels and battery storage.

The deal, completed for an undisclosed sum, brings together nearly 50 employees in a combined business offering a broad range of renewable energy solutions.

Premier Electrical Group plans to almost double annual turnover to £15m within two to three years by growing its presence in Great Britain alongside continued expansion in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The company has experienced strong growth over the past five years, driven by rising demand for smart, sustainable solar solutions and expert guidance as businesses, farmers, schools and homeowners seek to cut electricity costs, reduce emissions and gain greater control over their energy use.

To support this trajectory, Premier Electrical Group is recruiting and enlarging its Ballynahinch office to accommodate up to 10 additional staff.

Thomas Walsh, co-founder and director of Premier Electrical Group said: "Premier Electrical Group began with the belief that renewable energy should be built on trust, not just technology. We saw a gap in the market for honest, expert led solar services that put people first. In Natural Generation we've found a company that shares our values and ethos and gives us huge potential to grow the business further across the UK and Ireland."

Brendan O'Connor, co-founder and director of Premier Electrical Group said: "Our mission has always been to help customers embrace clean energy with confidence, delivering solutions that are not only better for the planet, but better for their homes, businesses, and communities. We're proud to say we were among the first to bring solar to Northern Ireland, and we're excited about the prospect of now leading the charge in England as well."

Colin Gregory, director of Natural Generation said: "The team at Natural Generation are delighted to become part of the Premier Electrical Group. It is a partnership that makes perfect sense for our business and I'm confident that with the additional experience and expertise we can now further enhance the service we provide to customers right across Cornwall and the South West of England."
