Fianna Fáil TD for North Tipperary and North West Kilkenny, Deputy Ryan O’Meara, is encouraging community groups across Tipperary, Kilkenny and beyond to apply for the newly announced €25 million Community Centre Investment Fund.
The fund aims to support the repair, upgrade, and enhancement of community centres, covering works such as roof repairs, heating and electrical upgrades, accessibility improvements, kitchen and stage facilities, fire safety measures, and energy efficiency upgrades.
"Community centres are at the heart of our towns and villages. They are the places where people come together, and when we invest in them, the whole community benefits. I would strongly encourage groups in Tipperary, Kilkenny and beyond to consider applying for this funding," Deputy O'Meara said.
Grants are available at two levels: smaller projects can receive between €10,000 and €25,000, while larger projects can access funding from €25,000 up to €100,000.
"This funding can make a real difference on the ground, whether it is improving accessibility, upgrading facilities, or ensuring buildings are safe and energy efficient. It is important that groups start preparing now so they are in a strong position to apply," Deputy O’Meara added.
Applications for the fund will open on 29 May 2026 and close on 13 July 2026.
