Galway City Council has launched the third non-statutory public engagement for the Renmore Neighbourhood Park Project, presenting preferred designs for Renmore, Ballyloughane Beach and Lough Atalia and inviting local feedback.
The project aims to reimagine and better connect the area's green spaces, enhancing access and amenities across Renmore, Ballyloughane Beach and the Lough Atalia corridor.
This phase follows extensive community consultation carried out in spring and autumn 2025. The Design Team has reviewed and analysed the feedback received and, taking account of relevant policy requirements and site constraints, has prepared preferred designs for the three locations.
Residents are encouraged to view the proposals and complete a short online survey via the project website. The submission period closes on Sunday 10th May 2026.
A 'drop in' public engagement event will also take place to allow people to view the preferred designs and share their views in person:
- Date: Monday 20th April 2026
- Time: 3:30pm to 8pm
- Venue: Connacht Hotel, Old Dublin Road, Galway, H91 K5DD
Community input will help shape the future of these spaces so they serve the needs of local people now and for generations to come.
