Uform, a supplier of doors and accessories for the kitchen and bedroom markets, has announced the acquisition of TKC.
The move is intended to strengthen the Uform Group’s presence in the kitchen sector, particularly within the UK mainland, where TKC holds a strong position in the merchant and trade channels.
The acquisition combines Uform’s manufacturing scale and product range with TKC’s established distribution network. By merging operations, the Group expects to broaden its product portfolio and access new routes to market, positioning the combined entity as a leading specialist supplier in the industry.
In tandem with the acquisition, the Group has appointed David Adams as Chief Executive Officer to lead this next phase of growth. Adams joins with extensive experience in operational performance and senior leadership.
David Adams, CEO, said: "I am excited to be joining Uform at such an important point in its development. The combination of Uform and TKC creates a compelling platform for growth, and I look forward to working with the team to build on the strong foundations of both businesses and deliver for our customers."
Wes McKenna, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Uform, noted that the acquisition follows a "long and considered search" to find a partner that strengthens their current kitchen and bedroom offering. He stated that the unified business will be better positioned to provide a wider range of choices and competitive pricing to its customer base.
Roy Saunders, CEO of TKC, added: "The acquisition of TKC by Uform is significant news. Uform is a respected brand in the KBB (Kitchen, Bedroom, and Bathroom) sector and undoubtedly our combined strength will provide growth and a compelling proposition for our customers. This is an opportunity to create a stable future, and we look forward to working with our Uform colleagues."
The acquisition marks a strategic expansion for Uform, providing the Northern Ireland-based company with a physical presence in Great Britain and increased capacity to serve the trade manufacturing and independent retail sectors.
