Rathfriland-based Hub Packaging has unveiled significant growth plans as it bids to become the preferred packaging partner across the island.
The business has named David Quigley as Chief Revenue Officer to lead its commercial strategy, with a goal of surpassing £40 million in turnover by 2030. The roadmap includes a major expansion of warehouse capacity and further recruitment to underpin delivery.
Established in 1977 by founder Ben Crozier, the family-run company has increased turnover from £3m to £20m over the last decade under Chief Executive Andrew Ward. Now employing 45 full-time staff across three generations, Hub Packaging is intensifying its commercial focus while retaining the values and reputation it has built over nearly 50 years.
Chief Executive Officer Andrew Ward said: "Our mission is to be the packaging provider of choice for businesses across the Island of Ireland, and key to reaching this milestone will be building our team with strategic appointments who bring deep expertise and alignment to our culture and values. We remain deeply grounded in the values built over decades as a family business, with our core value of behaving with integrity and respect."
The next phase will be driven by a broadened leadership team, including COO Martin Smyth and CFO Lee McDowell alongside CEO Andrew Ward, with Quigley’s addition reinforcing the growth agenda. Bringing more than two decades of commercial leadership from senior roles at Coca‑Cola Hellenic, Quigley will steer the strategy to double revenue.
Over almost five decades, the company has built its standing through an entrepreneurial approach and a commitment to long-term customer relationships. It focuses on bespoke solutions informed by deep sector knowledge and an understanding of clients’ operational needs.
Recent developments include the launch of a B2B automated ordering portal to enhance flexibility, reduce manual processing and improve the overall customer experience. Hub Packaging now works with a substantial number of Ireland’s top 1,000 companies, serving both rural communities and major urban centres.
