Dementia NI has announced that leading construction company Henry Brothers has selected the organisation as its official Charity Partner for the company's landmark 50th anniversary year.
The collaboration will see both organisations work together to raise vital funds and awareness, supporting and empowering people living with dementia across Northern Ireland.
Operating under the shared theme, "Building Hope. Driving Positive Change", the partnership will challenge stigma and amplify the voices of those with lived experience, promoting the message that, with the right support at the right time, people can continue to live well after a diagnosis.
The timing is significant for both parties: as Henry Brothers celebrates five decades in business, Dementia NI is launching an ambitious five-year strategy to expand its reach, strengthen member empowerment and drive positive change for people living with dementia across Northern Ireland.
Established in 2015 by five individuals living with dementia, Dementia NI is a unique, member-led charity working directly with people following a diagnosis. Through peer-led Empowerment Groups, members raise awareness, influence services and policy, and advocate for improved support so that everyone can live well with dementia.
Katrina Hughes, Donor Engagement Lead at Dementia NI, commented: "We are thrilled to have been chosen by Henry Brothers as their Charity Partner. We are incredibly grateful to be part of such a milestone year as the company celebrates 50 years in business, an achievement that reflects their long-standing commitment to people and communities. We look forward to seeing what we can achieve together."
Founded in 1976, Henry Brothers is a leading UK construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Northern Ireland, England and Scotland. With a people-focused ethos embodied in its slogan "Altogether Stronger", the company shares Dementia NI's commitment to collaboration and creating a positive impact in local communities.
Through the partnership, Henry Brothers will back Dementia NI via a programme of fundraising and engagement initiatives involving employees, clients and partners, helping to extend the charity's reach and impact.
Ian Henry, Director at Henry Brothers, said: "We are proud to announce Dementia NI as our Charity Partner. As we approach our 50th anniversary, it is especially important to us to partner with an organisation that is making such a meaningful difference within our communities.
"Dementia NI's member-led approach and commitment to empowering people living with dementia strongly aligns with our own values at Henry Brothers. Through this partnership, 'Building Hope. Driving Positive Change', we look forward to engaging our teams, clients, and partners in supporting their vital work.
"At Henry Brothers, being 'Altogether Stronger' is about making a positive impact beyond construction. We are excited to work alongside Dementia NI to help raise awareness, challenge stigma, and support people to live well with dementia."
Dementia NI said it looks forward to working closely with Henry Brothers throughout the partnership to build hope, drive positive change and help create a more inclusive society where every person living with dementia is heard, valued and supported.
