Construction firm Henry Brothers has completed and handed over a new £13.5 million Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) MOT test centre and administrative building in Mallusk.
The purpose-built site, designed to meet rising demand, features a ten-lane testing area with seven ramp-based lanes for light vehicles, two lanes for heavy vehicle testing, and a dedicated bay for motorcycles.
The scheme also includes a new internal road network, on-site parking, and an off-road motorcycle driving test track.
Jody Wilkinson, Managing Director for Northern Ireland and Scotland at Henry Brothers, said: "Delivered to meet growing demand for vehicle testing, the new DVA MOT test centre has been designed to support high standards of vehicle roadworthiness testing and operational efficiency.
"Future-proofed to respond to evolving industry requirements, the facility demonstrates our continued commitment to high-quality, forward-thinking infrastructure that supports both the public and the wider economy."
Commissioned by the Department for Infrastructure, the project was first announced in November 2024.
It adds to Henry Brothers' recent pipeline of work in Northern Ireland, including the Queen's-led Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Centre in Newtownabbey.
Liz Kimmins, Minister for Infrastructure, said: "The completion of the new Mallusk test centre is an important milestone in strengthening the future of vehicle testing in the North. Henry Brothers has delivered a high-quality facility that will help enhance the availability and quality of our vehicle testing services here."
