Uisce Éireann has confirmed that repair works had been completed and water supply is now coming back to affected customers.
Areas impacted included Swords, Dublin Airport, Santry, Malahide, Portmarnock, Kinsealy, Lissenhall, Donabate, Portrane, Clarehall, Malahide Road, Donaghmede, and surrounding areas.
Typically, normal service is restored within two to three hours after repairs are finished. Customers at the end of the network or on higher ground may experience longer delays as the system recharges.
Uisce Éireann's Tselopile Tlou thanked those affected for their patience during the works. "Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption that can be caused by an unplanned outage such as this one and we wish to thank customers in the area for their patience while these repairs were underway," he said.
