NIE Networks has appointed Helen Sullivan as its new Chief People and Culture Officer, with responsibility for Human Resources, Learning and Culture, Health and Safety, and Communications and Engagement.

Sullivan joins from PwC, where she spent more than 25 years, most recently serving as Global Director and People Driver for the firm's Deals business. Over that period she worked across the UK delivering HR projects spanning the employee lifecycle, core HR functions and technology transformation programmes. She brings extensive experience in strategic workforce planning, change management, culture change and performance management.

NIE Networks said its ambition to support Northern Ireland's decarbonising efforts and to operate a safe, reliable energy system depends on attracting, developing and retaining the right talent. Sullivan's role will be central to building the workforce needed to drive the company's transformation and to ensure the electricity network is prepared for future demands.
