Farrans has reinforced its longstanding collaboration with Ulster University by sponsoring the Most Commercially Relevant Research Paper at the university’s recent Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management Awards.
The event highlighted an impressive calibre of student research, with submissions tackling a broad spectrum of current, high-priority challenges in the construction industry. The strength of entries made judging especially competitive, underlining the depth of talent and innovation on the programme.
Congratulations to Hannah Byrne, whose paper, “Labour Shortages as a Commercial Risk Factor: Impacts on Cost, Programme, and Quality in UK Construction Projects”, was named this year’s winner. The study was recognised for its focus on a pressing issue for the UK construction sector and its clear applicability to commercial practice.
Farrans also congratulates Graduate Aine Turner on being shortlisted, and final-year apprentice Caleb Robb, who received the Programme Director’s Certificate in acknowledgement of his commitment, hard work and achievements throughout the course.
As a company dedicated to developing the next generation of industry professionals, Farrans celebrates the accomplishments of all students who took part in this year’s awards and extends its congratulations to everyone involved.
