ABC Community Planning Partnership has published its reviewed Connected Action Plan for 2026-2029, outlining a refreshed programme of actions intended to improve the quality of life for residents across the borough.
The revised plan has been developed following a review led by the Chairs of the Community Planning Strategic Partnership and its sub-committees. The process involved organisations from across the partnership, alongside the Community and Voluntary Sector Panel, members of the ABC Seniors Network and representatives from the borough's Youth Voice.
Aligned with the borough's Connected Community Plan, the updated action plan focuses on three strategic themes: Community, Economy and Place.
The 2026-2029 plan includes 25 actions, 15 of which are new, reflecting changing community needs as well as emerging challenges and opportunities across the borough.
Geraldine Lawless, Chair of the Community and Voluntary Sector Panel, thanked those involved in developing the revised plan.
"Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the review of the Connected Action Plan. The involvement of our partners, community representatives, seniors and young people has been invaluable in shaping priorities for the years ahead. Anyone interested in getting involved in the action plan or learning more about the work of the partnership is encouraged to contact the Community Planning Team."
