GRAHAM has signed contracts to deliver a new Airedale Hospital as part of the government's New Hospital Programme.

The company has been appointed construction partner to Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, with both organisations working to bring the state-of-the-art facility forward as swiftly as possible.

Signed on 30 July, the agreement sits within the Hospital 2.0 Alliance, which brings together NHS England, NHS trusts and industry partners to build hospitals using Hospital 2.0 — a standardised blueprint for design and delivery developed with input from clinicians, healthcare staff and patients nationwide. The model embeds the latest best practice and technology to improve patient care while reducing construction time and costs.

For Airedale, the Hospital 2.0 approach will be tailored to local people and scaled for future demand. Plans include 100% single en‑suite patient rooms with space for carers to stay, alongside social spaces on every ward to help prevent isolation.
