NI construction firm GRAHAM has helped MyTime, an NHS learning disabilities and wellbeing service in Chertsey, create a new outdoor summerhouse and enhanced garden, providing a calming, year-round space for service users, staff and visitors.
The project forms part of GRAHAM’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities in which it works. In collaboration with the MyTime team, the contractor supplied and built the summerhouse and upgraded the surrounding garden to offer a peaceful, accessible setting where people can relax, connect with nature and take part in therapeutic activities.
The new facility will also enable outdoor sessions and activities throughout the year, helping service users make the most of the benefits associated with spending time outdoors.
As a provider of mental health support within the local community, MyTime plays a vital role in helping individuals access tailored assistance. The redesigned outdoor space is intended to complement these services by creating a safe, comfortable and attractive environment.
Kelly Wakelin, Team Leader at MyTime Chertsey, said: "Massive thank you to the GRAHAM team for creating a safe and exciting new place for the people we support. You all worked so hard and were very professional in your work and even took time out to interact and get to know the people we support.
"It has made a huge difference to the people, getting them outside to enjoy the safe space you have made. They can relax, enjoy the garden, and decorate the summer house with some of their fantastic artwork We all thank you so very much!"
