Cutting Industries Limited has begun the process of securing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, marking a further step in its drive for responsible manufacturing and continual improvement.

The family-owned Lisburn manufacturer has supplied bespoke precision-cut components to a broad range of industries for almost 30 years, investing in people, processes and technology to enhance product quality, increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Pursuing ISO 14001 is intended to deepen the company’s understanding of its environmental impacts and embed more sustainable practices across its operations.

The internationally recognised standard sets out a structured framework for organisations to identify opportunities for environmental improvement, boost resource efficiency, minimise waste and comply with environmental legislation. While many such measures are already in place at Cutting Industries, formal certification is expected to strengthen its environmental management systems and provide a clear pathway for ongoing improvement.
