A group from MMD Construction completed a hike of Galtymore on Saturday, 15 August, in support of the Lighthouse Charity.

The challenge brought colleagues together for an enjoyable day outdoors while helping to raise both awareness and funds for a cause that matters to the construction sector.

The Lighthouse Charity provides crucial emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families across Ireland and the UK. As a business within the industry, MMD Construction is proud to champion its work and to encourage wellbeing across the sector.

Fundraising started in the run-up to the event, with staff organising an office "PotLuck Lunch", hosting site coffee mornings and making generous donations towards the effort.

On the day, the team gathered early at MMD’s head office before travelling to Galtymore to meet their guides and prepare for the climb. The hike offered a chance for colleagues from across the company to connect away from the usual working environment, support each other along the route and enjoy striking scenery.
