NI Company Collects Shopfitting Award

A Northern Ireland company has picked up a top award honouring its “outstanding contribution” to the shopfitting industry across the UK and Ireland.

Patton Fit-Out - part of the Ballymena-based Patton Group - picked up two top prizes at the prestigious Shopfitting and Display Industry Awards held in London‘s Grosvenor House Hotel last week.

The local company collected Best Specialist Outlet or Shop for its work on the new Habitat store in Dublin, converting a 150 year old bank into a chic retail destination and also received one of the biggest honours of the night – the “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry,” award.

The recipient of this prestigious accolade was left to the discretion of the judging panel, made up of key industry professionals, who nominated and decided upon the most worthy winner of this award.

In its inaugural year, the Shopfitting and Display Industry Awards have been established to recognise excellence in the standard of design, manufacture and supply of shop equipment, plus excellence in the standards of workmanship, service and creativity within the shop-fitting industry.

The accolades are just the latest in a number of national awards which have singled out Patton Fit-Out for its high standards of excellence and consistency in terms of both the quality and the delivery of projects.

The company, who are currently working on a number of major retail schemes across the UK and Ireland, scooped the coveted Retail Interiors’ Store Fit Company of the Year award last year.

Patton Fit-Out Director, Brendan Boyd, was in London to accept the latest honours for the company.

He said: “I am of course delighted to pick up these very prestigious awards and it is particularly pleasing to receive the “Outstanding Contribution to Industry” award, for which no submissions were requested.”

Brendan continues, "This rubberstamps what Patton Fit-Out stands for - delivering high quality craftsmanship, meeting deadlines and an acute awareness of current trends.”

"What separates us from our industry competitors is the experience that has been built up within a retail environment, where it is essential to minimise downtime and get tills ringing as soon as possible.”

Patton Fit-Out work extensively throughout the UK and Ireland within retail, food, leisure and office sectors.
