Go Green With Richmond Building Products

Dublin firm Richmond Building Products have now launched their new sustainable building product range known as Richmond Green.

There are many different reasons why a product can be classified as “sustainable”. Each of the products in Richmond’s new green range have different properties that have helped it become classified as green.

Fermacell, a high performance, multi-purpose dry lining board is made from 100% recycled material in an ISO 14001 (environmental standard) factory in Germany which means it’s manufacturing has only created a relatively small carbon footprint.

Protect TF200 Thermo and VC Foil are house wrap membranes, which when used together in timber frame construction, can help you achieve a u-value as low as 0.2.

Richmond Green can help improve the airtightness of domestic houses with its insulated and draft sealed loft traps and cavity closers. Passivent, Richmond’s passive ventilation division, can provide home owners with a non-energy consuming, completely silent ventilation system.

For commercial buildings Passivent offers the lowest energy consuming ventilation system on the market today. Passivent’s mixed mode system, which has been developed with air conditioning giants Mitsubishi, provides offices that can’t go without air conditioning with a cooling system that consumes 41% less energy compared to a traditional system.
