Faced with the need to refurbish the roof at a church in Manorhamilton, Architects Hamilton Young of Sligo took the opportunity to specify the use of a multi layer blanket known as SuperQuilt while repairing the existing slate roof.
This membrane was developed by YBS Insulation in response to the increasingly stringent standards of thermal insulation demanded by property owners and by both national and international government authorities in the quest for greater energy conservation.
SuperQuilt comprises multiple layers of reflective and insulating materials which, when combined together to form a lightweight blanket, provides a highly effective and efficient insulating membrane that is a fraction of the weight and bulk of traditional materials.
