Vicaima fire doors have been installed throughout the historic Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, which officially re-opened earlier this year.
More than 500 Vicaima FD30 and FD60 fire doors were supplied and have been installed throughout the building, which has been the focus of a great deal of attention and critical acclaim since it re-opened.
HKR Architects specified Vicaima fire doors because of their unbeaten safety record. Vicaima is the only European door manufacturer to be recognised by both the TRADA Q-Mark and BWF Certifire schemes as well as achieving ISO9001:2000. Its doors are independently audited at regular intervals to verify fire safety. A single leaf Vicaima FD30 fire door, which will resist a fire for a minimum of 30 minutes, was recently tested under the BWF Certifire audit system and achieved 46 minutes – an overrun of more than 50%.
The supply of fire doors to the Shelbourne Hotel represents one of the largest orders for Vicaima Ireland since it opened its Dublin depot in Finglas 12 months ago.
