Residents of west Belfast are protesting over plans to construct a six-storey apartment block on the former site of Andersonstown police station.
The Department of Social Development (DSD) has appointed the Carvill Group as the developer to build 30 flats, a community facility and several shops.
Local residents have formed a 'Stop the Sell Off' campaign and it is understood around 40 people will petition the DSD's city centre headquarters to oppose the plans at the demolished barracks.
They propose the site should be set aside for community projects, as opposed to housing and retail.
The station closed in 2005 and the site was then sold for development.
