As part of its Fair Payment Campaign, the National Specialist Contractors’ Council (NSCC) has published a ‘toolkit’ specifically for Specialist Contractors.

The NSCC Specialist Contractor’s Toolkit is divided into three key sections - Before You Start, While You’re There, and When You’ve Finished - and is packed with easy to follow, practical advice to help specialist contractors avoid common contractual pitfalls and improve their chances of getting paid on time.

Justin Perry, Chairman of the NSCC Contracts Committee and principal author of the toolkit, said: "Our aim is to improve payment practices in the construction industry and, by offering tools and techniques for specialist contractors to use, we anticipate that more Specialist Contractors will have the confidence to stand up for themselves when they are not treated as they should be."
