OPW Proposes Garda Station Improvement Works

Tenders are currently being sought for improvements works to be carried out at two Garda Stations in County Clare.

Minister of State and Clare TD, Tony Killeen, who received the confirmation from the Office of Public Works (OPW), said it was proposing to carry out alterations and additions to Newmarket-on-Fergus and Doonbeg Garda Stations.

"I very much welcome the announcement that refurbishment works will shortly commence at the Garda Stations in Doonbeg and Newmarket-on-Fergus. It is very important that members of An Garda Síochana are in a position to work in modern facilities," the Minister said.

"A great deal of work has been done in recent years to upgrade existing and build new Garda Stations throughout the country. Rank and file members of An Garda Síochana are now befitting from working in fully equipped and modern facilities.
