Capital Bars group owners have announced they are seeking planning permission for a 300-bedroom hotel and transport interchange in central Dublin.
Brothers Liam and Des O’Dwyer have proposed the scheme to be constructed at Abbey Street to Strand Street.
Bennett Construction has teamed up with Capital Bars group to build a seven-storey hotel over a double height ground floor that will also contain a bus interchange.
It is understood a company trading as O'Dwyer Leisure will be in charge of running the hotel and CIE will own the bus exchange, which will handle up to 50 buses an hour going to Blanchardstown and Dunboyne in County Meath.
If planning permission for the project is granted, it will cost €100 million and will open within three years.
