Industrial overhead crane and hoist specialist, Street Crane Company has appointed their first directly employed sales manager to cover the whole of Ireland.

Stephen Hirst, a lifting engineer with 20 years mechanical handling experience, took up the post this month.

"With so much development taking place, both north and south, this is a huge opportunity. I look forward to meeting existing and new Street Crane users and developing the overhead crane and hoists business in Ireland," Stephen said.

His hand’s-on experience includes a period working offshore with a rope-access team doing non-destructive structural inspection. He holds level five registration with the Lifting Engineering Equipment Association (LEEA), this qualifies him to inspect powered hoists and beams. In addition, he has NEBOSH certified health and safety qualifications.

Stephen is currently based in County Antrim.

Street Crane Company is the UK’s largest manufacturer of electric overhead travelling cranes (EOTC’s) and an exporter of hoists, components and controls to crane makers in overseas markets.
