Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council will commence major road works on the Sandyford Road as part of the Infrastructural Scheme for the area.
The works will start on Monday, 8 October, and it is anticipated it will take one year to complete.
It will mean that only one-way traffic outbound will be possible throughout the duration of the works. The diversion route for in-bound traffic will be via Blackthorn Drive, Drummartin Road, Upper Kilmacud Road and Overend Way.
As part of the Scheme, the Sandyford Road area will be resurfaced, and improved watermains and drainage systems, as well as broadband ducting will be laid.
New and improved facilities will also be introduced for pedestrians and cyclists. These will include new bus lanes, cycle paths and footpaths.
