According to the Minister: "I have been informed by my colleague, Batt O'Keefe TD, Minister for Housing, Urban Renewal and Developing Areas, that the funding will allow for the provision of two units of accommodation at Brookville, Lahinch Road, Ennis and six units of accommodation at Green Hill, Cratloemoyle, Cratloe."
The Minister also confirmed that the funding has been allocated under the Department of the Environment Heritage and Local Government's Capital Assistance Scheme for voluntary housing projects.

He added that another €785,350 has been allocated for the housing project in Cratloe, with the accommodation being provided by Bawnmore Housing Association Limited, in cooperation with Clare County Council and will be allocated to disabled persons.
"Meanwhile, €299,005 has been set aside for the housing project in Ennis where the accommodation is being provided by Banner Housing Association Limited, in cooperation with Clare County Council. Once again, the accommodation will be allocated to disabled persons," Mr Killeen said.
"I would like to compliment Clare County Council and the respective Housing Associations for working together on these proposed Schemes, which will provide much needed units of accommodation for handicapped persons in Ennis and Cratloe."
