The €120 million Pier D building at Dublin Airport is to open on Sunday.
Six of the planned boarding gates will become available for passenger traffic.
Siobhan Moore, Dublin Airport spokeswomen, said the pier will open phase by phase: "The northern side of the pier is going to be opened first and the southern side of the pier should be open by the new year."
Designed by leading international architects Skidmore Owings Merrill the completed pier will be 257 metres long and 26.5 metres wide, 14 new aircraft contact stands will be provided.
There will be 12 gate lounges and one dedicated business lounge in addition to separate arrivals and departure areas. Passengers will also be able to avail of three dedicated retail and restaurant facilities.
