The allocation of €15,000 CLÁR funding to the Boyle Sewerage Scheme (ED Boyle Rural and Boyle Urban) in County Roscommon has been announced by Éamon Ó Cuív Dáil Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.
This will enable a total value of works amounting to €30,000 to be carried out.
The current CLÁR funding for a small public water and sewerage scheme in a CLÁR area is as follows: 50 per cent maximum from CLÁR, 25 per cent maximum from the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government Small Water and Sewerage Schemes' allocation and 25 per cent minimum from the Local Authority and/or private funding.
This should facilitate the development of many more small public water and sewerage schemes under the programme in small towns and villages within CLÁR areas.
