Engineers Ireland will announce the winners of the 'Innovation Company of the Year' and 'Innovation Engineer of the Year' Awards at a breakfast briefing taking place at 8.00am on Wednesday, December 12 in Clyde Road.
The Innovation Awards are designed to highlight cutting-edge innovation and excellence in engineering.
A distinguished panel of judges, drawn from industry, media and academia, has the difficult task of selecting this year's winners. Entries will be assessed on the basis of concept, growth record, financial accomplishments and community and industry involvement.
Commenting on the role of the Innovation Awards, Director General of Engineers Ireland, Mr John Power, Chartered Engineer, said: "The Innovation Awards recognise and reward innovative organisations and engineers; raise the profile and importance of innovation; and provide inspiration for the next generation of entrepreneurs."
Last year’s winners of the 'Innovation Engineer of the Year' award, Martin Curley, Global Director, IT Innovation, Intel, will open the event with a presentation on 'The Challenges Facing Innovators Today - An Industry Perspective'.
