Prices Drop On New Homes

Some of Ireland's most reputable builders are cutting the prices of their new homes in order to boost sales.

Abbey's group's Kingscroft group has reportedly instructed agents to cut prices on all five of it's Leinster home sites by around 10%.

Albany group's subsidiary Albany Homes has dropped prices by up to 25% in Swords 'The Meadows' in North County Dublin.

One-bed apartment's in the wider 'Holywell' scheme which 'The Meadow's' forms part of cost €270,00 in April in 2007, three-bed end-of-terrace units cost €455,000, now they are priced at €230,000 and €341,000 repectively.

Other builders such as Capel have cut prices on units.
