A €750m major extension of Celbridge town centre in Co Kildare has been proposed by DevonDale Ltd a company controlled by construction and regeneration specialists, the Durkan family.
The scheme designed by architects O'Mahony Pike, will include a shopping centre covering 22,000 sq metres, a gym, a bank, several restaurants and bars, a multiplex and two residential areas.
The development is to be linked by three bridges over the River Liffey to the main street in Celbridge.
The planning application will be submitted shortly.
