Plans for the first new town to be built in Ireland in over a century have been submitted.
Adamstown, which will be build by developer Castlehorn Construction, will cost an estimated €500m.
The new town will house a population of 30,000 on a 24-acre site in West Dublin and will be bigger than Dundalk.
Plans for the town include 16,294sqm of retail space, including a pharmacy of 250sqm.
The application also includes plans for apartments/duplexes, public houses, a creche, library and cinema.
The housing element will be made up of 606 residential units, while the cinema will house eight screens and include seating for 1,304 people over about 2,226 sq m.
Planning has also been made for 582 sq m of office space.
