The Irish Home Builders Association (IHBA) has welcomed the announcement by John Gormley, Minister for the Environment, new policy guidance to planning authorities in relation to the taking in charge of residential estates.
Hubert Fitzpatrick, IHBA Director said: "The new policy guidance puts in place a clear process, including timescales, for taking housing estates in charge and provides the basis for local authorities to address the backlog of estates that have not yet been taken in charge."
He added: "IHBA has been looking for clear policy guidance on the taking in charge of residential estates and Minister Gormley's announcement is a welcome one."
