Longford County Council and Longford Town Council have invited landowners, property developers and building contractors - who are interested in providing Turnkey housing accommodation - to submit their proposals.
The proposals must assist the Councils in providing turnkey accommodation to meet the needs arising under the local authorities housing programme in the various towns and villages.
Contracts will be awarded subject to approval by the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government in all cases.
Partnership Projects between the Council and landowners, property developers and building contractors will entail the transfer of completed housing schemes to local authority standards to the authority for agreed contract prices.
The Council has stipulated that the interested parties will be responsible for land acquisition, planning permission, ensuring that the design complies in all respects with the statutory requirements, and providing appropriate certificates for contract supervision.
The Council has said it will make certified stage payments as the development proceeds.
