Carlow County Council has put forward a tender for two separate wastewater treatment works at Clonegal & Rathoe.
The Contract includes the design, build and one year operation of the two separate wastewater treatment works
The Council has said that the Contractors scope of supply shall include, full process civil and M&E design, civil construction, M&E manufacture and factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, testing, including all process and take-over testing, operation for one year, training of local authority works operational staff and the provision of record drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.
It requires that, in each case, the existing works must be maintained in operation by the contractor throughout the construction period and when the new plant is ready flow shall be diverted to the new plant by the Contractor and the existing works demolished. The site shall be made good, excess material removed and then top soiled and grass seeded, in addition to this final soft landscaping shall be provided.
Additionally, the Council has asked that the contractor shall design and perform all works and provide all equipment, materials and labour necessary for the proper execution of the works according to the true and obvious intent and meaning of the Specifications, whether such equipment materials or works are specifically described, shown or not.
