Minister Marks 10th Anniversary Of Beveridge Engineering

NI Economy Minister Nigel Dodds today joined management and staff at a Coleraine factory to celebrate the company's 10th anniversary.

Beveridge Engineering - specialists in the supply, fabrication and erection of structural steel and the provision of expert mechanical services - recently completed a £500,000 expansion programme geared to increase its business in Northern Ireland, Irish Republic and Great Britain.

The company currently employs 27 people at its 26,000 sq ft factory in Invest NI's Wattstown Industrial Estate and it also works with around 14 permanent subcontractors.

Congratulating the firm on the contribution they have made to the local economy, the Minister said: "This is an immensely successful and ambitious company which is achieving fast growth through a strategic focus on innovation, productivity and superb customer services."

He said the company has become an excellent role model of an entrepreneurial business that is succeeding through ongoing investment in technology and export marketing.

"The company has invested in training programmes that ensure its employees, mostly locally recruited, have the essential skills and capability for continued competitiveness in its target markets.

"This sharp focus on excellence has enabled the company to build a portfolio of high profile clients and to gain vast experience in projects as diverse as major shopping centres and extensive warehouse complexes," Mr Dodds added.

"It is with great pleasure that I congratulate the team at Beveridge Engineering on their tremendous achievements. I am sure that other smaller companies in Coleraine and the wider North West will draw confidence and encouragement from Beveridge Engineering's track record."
