Dublin-based construction group ABM has re-branded its operations in the UK, after only two years in the British market.
The division is being split between ABM Precast Solutions and ABM Bridge Systems.
The two functional areas total around £10m of the group’s annual turnover.
Irish-owned ABM established in the UK in 2006 when it bought-over Precon, a pre-cast concrete manufacturer.
The Precon name is now being replaced by the two new brands.
ABM Precast Solutions will manufacture bespoke pre-cast structural components, at weights up to 100t. Its nearest competitors are Tarmac and Macrete (in Northern Ireland)
ABM Bridge Systems is licensed for Matiere system of concrete bridging structures. The business will design, manufacture and install buried precast concrete structures such as arches and portal frames.
The technique used will continue to be known as Matiere. AMB’s method is rather unique, with the only comparable UK rival being Reinforced Earth Company
ABM also holds the licence for Matiere structures in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. In these three countries, the company will trade under the single entity of ABM Mosty.
