A leading Irish building and civil contractor has invested in an innovative new quality management software system.

John Paul Construction has agreed to purchase Workspace, a management and information system design to improve delivery, through efficiency.

Workspace, developed by Nottingham-based Union Square Software, was selected following a comprehensive review of internal processes and controls.

According to John Paul Construction, the business software will now provide a "platform for efficient information management into the future".

John Paul Construction has said it will use the new tool as part of its drive to provide value for its clients.

Workspace provides a range of solutions for project-centred organisations including: corporate database, enquiry management, document control and project collaboration.

Workspace has been developed with the aim of providing firms in the construction supply chain with "competitive advantage through the pragmatic introduction of portal technology which enables effective Knowledge Management".
