The Irish Construction Industry Federation has launched its own Health and Safety induction DVD, designed to promote on-site safety.

Entitled 'Safety in You Hands', the 17-minute film is part of the Federation's ongoing campaign to develop a culture of safety within the industry.

Dermot Carey, who heads up the Federation's Safety Services said: "The Construction Industry Federation has prepared the Safety & Health Induction DVD which conveys key elements of safety information to the construction sector."

"I believe that the Safety & Health Induction DVD presents key safety information in a fresh and modern approach to this normally difficult induction process as we now have a multi cultural workforce where language can be a barrier to getting across the key safety message."
