Funding of €185,000 allocated to improve roads in Coastal CLÁR areas of Donegal has been welcomed by the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Mary Coughlan.
The Tánaiste said the funding will allow for work to commence on the protection of the roads at Derrylaghan, Kilcar and Casson, Dunkineely.
"I am delighted that this funding has been delivered for these projects. I have been working closely with my colleague, Eamon O Cuiv TD, Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to ensure the delivery of these allocations.
"Continued improvement in our road infrastructure will result in improved road safety and bring long term benefits to the local community.
"The funding has been delivered under the 2008 CLÁR Coastal Development Scheme and is part of an overall €2 million support package to 26 projects," she added.
