Belfast Construction Conference Rallying Call

A rallying call has been made for this week's 'Building without Costing the Earth' conference - aimed at helping the ailing construction sector.

The conference is designed to looks at off site construction technology currently available and address why the NI construction industry is currently the second lowest region in terms of market share in the UK innovative off site construction industry.

The conference comes at a time when the local industry is continuing to faces many challenges.

Speakers are to include top representation from the NI Executive and leading industry experts.

The talks will look at the economic importance of the construction industry to NI; the current state of the industry; potential loss of skills, shortage of apprenticeship places, knock on effect to overall economy; and the need for cooperation to lend leadership and support to the industry.

The conference takes place Thursday 25 September - 9am Stormont Hotel Belfast.
