BCM Hanby Wallace Secures Dublin Land Deal

A massive land deal has been secured at the heart of Dublin's Grand Canal Square.

Chartered Land's 150,000 square feet of office space has been sold off to BCM Hanby Wallace.

The deal was signed between the law firm and the man at the helm of the development, Joe O'Reilly.

Architect Daniel Libeskind has designed a scheme, comprising three office buildings and stretching over 380,000 square feet, for the site.


BCM Hanby Wallace Managing Partner Paul McGennis said: "This move will help us to consolidate our position and provide us with flexibility to expand further into key growth sectors throughout the next decade."

The scheme is the latest in a series of substantial developments in the area, including a 30,000 square foot office space development on Claredon Row, expected to be completed by December.

Dominic Deeny, Charted Land Chief Executive, said: "The move reinforces the emergence of Grand Canal Square as one of Dublin’s most exciting and dynamic new business districts."

Bannon acted for the landlord and HT Meagher O'Reilly acted for the tenant. A move by the law firm is expected as early as 2010.
