Fermanagh Housing Executive tenants have welcomed a £220,000 investment in improving kitchen facilities in their homes.
New kitchens were fitted in 42 Lisnaskea properties located in Carrowshee Park, Lisnaskea are a mixture of houses, and bungalows.
Work included full kitchen replacement, involving minor structural work to some dwellings to improve kitchen layouts, as well as upgrading electrical wiring in the kitchen, and fitting smoke alarms and heat detectors.
Jacqueline Maguire, from Carrowshee Park, said: "I am delighted with my new kitchen and I am very pleased with the workmanship. Before the work started the Housing Executive were in contact with me to discuss the work and to allow me to pick the kitchen that I wanted."
Housing Executive District Manager Michael Callaghan said: "I am pleased the scheme is complete and local residents can enjoy their new kitchens. We involved residents from the outset discussing the proposals with them and giving everyone involved an opportunity to choose from a selection of kitchen finishes and colours."
"Schemes of this nature are an important element of the Housing Executive's objective to improve living conditions for its tenants and I am confident that this work will make a difference for these local residents," he added.
