Plans for a €300m 17-storey mixed use development, close to Dublin Port tunnel, have been submitted by developer Liam Carroll.
The application encompasses a 148-bedroom hotel, gym swimming pool and a healthcare centre.
Designs also include 900,000 square feet of office space and retail units.
Meanwhile, in other news, the Irish government has reportedly met with the Thornton Hall consortium to ensure capital to complete the €400m prison scheme is still accessible.
The Léargas group, led by Bernard McNamara, had previously informed the State that the worsening financial situation in Ireland had resulted in 25 banks pulling support for the project.
The contentious prison scheme, earmarked for the Thornton Hall site in north Dublin, is a public private partnership project.
According to the Sunday Business Post, government officials have approached the developers to seek formal assurances that the scheme is secure.
